Since my newly acquired IBM TFT touschscreen (five whole Euros) required a power supply I made this power supply. Since it would be standing on my desk I focused more on the looks (which I hope is visible) then normal. The hard things to do were painting a 100mm PVC tube with two stripes, it took about 8 coats to get what I have now. Furthermore, I struggled to glue in the two plexiglass ends. They were meant to glue in with superglue, but the gaps were to wide so once more, hot glue had come to the rescue, not as pretty as hoped but a good lesson learned.
